Today, October 10, is World Mental Health Day. As a community we openly discuss issues of physical health, yet everyone agrees that overall health is not simply about the physical aspects. At Inspire, we understand health from a holistic perspective, and we believe that physical AND mental health deserve equal attention and discussion! Inspire Fitness is proud to support the Mental Health Week initiatives being coordinated nationwide this week to promote mental wellbeing and de-stigmatise mental illnesses.
One of the most effective ways to enhance your health is to practice meditation, as we highlighted in our recent members’ seminar. The popularity of the seminar demonstrated just how much interest there is in understanding the science that demonstrates the benefits of mindfulness and meditation, and in acquiring the skills to incorporate meditation practices into our daily lives.
